Rates are the average interest rate accepted at each auction, as published by the Central Bank of Kenya. The date is the issue date (when the bills start earning). The after-tax return uses the same formula as our T-bill calculator.

How to read this

T-bill rates follow the Central Bank Rate (now 8.75%) and how much the government needs to borrow. When rates are falling, locking in a 364-day bill keeps today's rate for a year. When they're rising, shorter bills let you reinvest sooner at the higher rate.
